HOW TO PROCEED
Please read and understand these Terms and Conditions PRIOR to booking.
Upon payment of the deposit, you will receive a printable PDF version of these Terms and Conditions for your files.
All pricing and fees are listed and processed in CHF (Swiss Francs) - for currency converter, please click here. Please note exchange rates fluctuate according to the supply and demand in the foreign exchange market.
At the end of this page, you will be guided on how to proceed.
Investment
the workshop fee is CHF 2'799.

Deposit
A CHF 500.- deposit due at registration is required to secure your workshop space and will be deducted from the final tuition cost.
After you have submitted the registration form, you will be guided to the ACS Academy secured online shopping cart system. Regardless of payment option, the deposit of CHF 500 is to be made to secure your spot.
​
Payment Plan Option
A payment plan option gives you the opportunity to divide the workshop fee in to weekly, or monthly installments. You will have this option through the ACS Academy secured invoicing system which will be set up directly with Olivia.
​
Early Bird Special
The Early Bird Special gives you the opportunity to pay a reduce workshop fee of CHF 2'499 and must be paid by May 3rd 2023.
​
Payment Due Date
If tuition is not received by the assigned dates, your reservation will be considered cancelled and cancellation fees will apply.
Full payment of the workshop fee is required to be made within120 days of the start date - July 3rd 2023.
To benefit from the Early Bird Special pricing, tuition must be paid by May 3rd 2023.
Your workshop spot is reserved when the deposit of CHF 500 has been made.
Your workshop participation is secured when full payment has been made.

*Not included is your travel to Zurich, Switzerland. Dinner for the three workshop evenings (as you might want to rest and go light after a full day.) and any personal expenses.

Cancellations within 30 days of registration:
If you cancel within 30 days of your registration, you will receive a refund of your deposit minus a CHF 100.- administrative fee.
​
Cancellations 30 days post registration:
For cancellations due to ANY reason whatsoever, and not limited to, family or medical emergencies, health conditions, and/or personal reasons a refund of payments received minus the cancellation fees are as listed below:

To cancel your workshop participation, a written notice of cancellation is required. This must occur in form of an email: olivia@a-cake-story.com
Cancellations are NOT accepted in the form of social media messaging or SMS.

Exceptions to this policy and the cancellation fees cannot be made for any reason.
​
A Cake Story Academy reserves the right to cancel the workshop in for any reason whatsoever. In the highly unlikelihood that such a cancellation occurs, all payments received will be completely refunded. Our sole liability in relation to any cancellation shall be limited to the price paid by you and we shall not be liable under any circumstances for any consequential losses. (for example flights or travel costs)

Travel Insurance
If you must cancel your trip for any reason whatsoever - including health reasons for yourself or a family member, travel ban or any personal reason - cancellation fees as stated above will apply. Travel insurance - specifically trip cancellation insurance - can cover some expenses such as travel and flights. It is highly recommended you obtain a travel insurance policy.

Disability, medical conditions, and dietary requirements
Please note that during this workshop we will be using upper body strength and core strength to work with the sugar paste medium. You will also be asked to walk every morning a 7-minute walk to from the hotel to the Workshop venue. You must be able to participate in these activities to benefit best from your investment in this workshop.
If you have any dietary requirements that requires us to make special arrangements, please list them specifically on the registration form.

Physical Requirements
Please note that during this workshop we will be using upper body strength and core strength to work with the sugar paste medium. As is common in European cities, we will be taking trams, trains and busses and walking. You must be able to participate in these activities to benefit best from your investment in this workshop.
Travel and Official start /end time of the Workshop
You are responsible for making and paying for your own travel to Zurich Airport.
Plan your arrival date/time to be no later than October 31st, 2023 before 18:00 (6pm CET)
Hotel Check-In starts at14.00 (2pm CET)
Plan your travel to arrive within this time frame so that you can be rested and refreshed for the Apéro/Welcome Dinner (included in your tuition). For international flights, this may require booking flight on the 30st of October. Please take extra precaution in noting the arrival time displayed on the travel itinerary BEFORE booking.
Welcome Dinner and Drinks (included in your tuition) begins at 18.30 (6.30 pm CET)
The official end time of the workshop is 5. October 2023 at 11:00 (11am) Hotel Check-out

Please provide all arrival information, (Flight information, train information etc) so that we can arrange for adequate transfer.
​
If you are late to the Workshop or prevented from attending the Workshop due to travel delays or any circumstances, we shall not be obliged to provide you with a refund or to wait to start the Workshop until you arrive. Please schedule your travel according to the schedule. Please make sure your departure dates are not within the official workshop time frames.
If in any doubt, contact Olivia directly to double check. Better to be safe than sorry.

Your obligations
Primarily, we want you to come with a positive mindset to learn something new, to experience the best of Swiss quality and make connections with other cake professionals and artists.
​
You must always comply with the health and safety policy of the host country and venue. You must comply with all requests from us or the venue regarding health and safety and failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the workshop (in which case no refund will be provided).
​
You must always keep your personal belongings with you, and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to the Workshop by you.
​
A Cake Story (Cerletti Cake Designs) shall not be held liable and does not assume responsibility for any claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss whether to person or property arising out of any injury, accident, death, cancellation, delay, alteration, or inconvenience resulting from any acts of negligence, breach of contract, omission, or by weather, sickness, strike, quarantine, hostilities, local laws or the willful or negligent acts of any other trip participant, or any cause whatsoever.

You consent and acknowledge that should you require emergency medical treatment as a result of accident or illness arising during your attendance and participation at A Cake Story Academy workshop in Switzerland, you are financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may be incurred as a result of that emergency medical treatment.
​
You understand that you are ultimately responsible for your own health and well being, including carrying any necessary medications, such as those for chronic conditions and/or allergies to foods, etc.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (NDA)
Copyright and Intellectual Property of the Workshop Curriculum
Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for any promotional materials and any materials used at the Workshop (including course notes, slides, brochures, articles, and images of brands) belong to A Cake Story (Cerletti Cake Designs) and may not be reproduced in any medium or capacity.
You may not reproduce, publish, or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use.
You may not reproduce any of the techniques or methods you learned from A Cake Story Academy Workshop to create your own courses, tutorials, workshops, or information sharing.
You may not communicate any of the techniques or methods learned during this workshop to 3rd parties. This includes disseminating the techniques or methods on social media, be it publicly or privately; For example, but not limited to, creating a Reel on Instagram or a TikTok on how to create “The Offset Method” or giving tips on how to use A Cake Story techniques.
You must always give credit to @a_cake_story_ if any of your cake art pieces are inspired by or copies of original A Cake Story work.
Photography and Filming
We have hired a professional photographer to document the Workshop and take photos of you with your art pieces and behind the scenes imagery. These images belong to the photographer, and you must always credit the photographer @Kuenzli.Photography whenever you use the images – regardless of time passing or media. (print /online)
We will be touring certain parts of factories and facilities belonging to the Barry Callebaut Group.
You may not photograph or take videos without prior consent. Please ask first.
You may not take videos or photos of course materials. During the sessions, please refrain from using your phone. There will be opportunities to take photos for social media, to which these will be communicated.

These Terms shall be governed by Swiss Law and your hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss Courts, Zurich, Switzerland.

The next step is to click on the link below that says, "Proceed to Registration Form".
There you will thoroughly fill out the form with all the needed information. This is the form that lets us know the payment plan/option you choose, your dietary needs and how you intend on travelling to Switzerland and so on. -
You will then be guided to pay the deposit that secures your spot in the workshop made through ACS Academy's secure online shopping cart system. Upon payment of the deposit, you will automatically receive a downloadable and printable PDF version of these Terms and Conditions for your files.
